Wishing you a lovely Valentine’s day. Many say it is a Hallmark occasion and plastic but I say it’s what you make of it. Why not celebrate love?
This poem was written for me by my Beau in around 2005.

Moje Láska
(My Love)
There has not lived a Day
In all the seasons that have passed by without You
That I have not felt the subtle warmth of your Memory
Embedded in the most intoxicating Sunset
Too distant to touch yet too beautiful to Forget
It fades into a pain too real to Image
That runs through the valley of our Youth
Across the mountains of our Divide
And onto the prairies of your Heart
I cannot let you Be
And so I search for the shadow of my Past
Untouched by the tolls of time I find You
Immortal in your Essence
I hunger for your unfathomable Secrets
Consuming only those words that can nourish my Resolve
I am selfish for this Love
Justified by our past yet frozen by your Present
This is the misfortune of our Fate
And yet the days dance by indifferent to what is Lost
Rendering us irrelevant in the channels of Time
But still I cannot let you Be
I am impervious to this Love
To a heart so pure I wait Forever
For this truth can be no Other
But if fate should cheat me in this Destiny
I shall implore God’s indifference to let me find You
In another time in another Place
I shall follow every flower that bends towards your Beauty
And stand to greet every sunrise that may know your Heart
Until the warmth of your Memory
Shines through the eyes of a Stranger
And the taste of your lips leaves no Suspicion
To know that I have found You
And you are mine Forever

February 16, 2021 at 8:20 amAw! I wish someone felt like this for me! I mean, maybe Cassidy does. My love language is words but his isn’t, so I suppose he shows me in other ways? Sigh.

February 16, 2021 at 8:52 amOh, I think he does, Tamara. His devotion and loyalty are quite unmistakable. You are a word smith so yeah, it’s always appreciated to get that exchange but not necessary 😛 Hope you all had a nice Valentine’s Day!
