The big ‘C’ is almost here. Instead of getting all anxious and thinking about what could possibly go wrong (presents aren’t wrapped, Santa forgot something or someone, the stockings aren’t full enough etc.) I’m going to be grateful. Gratitude is something I’ve been negligent about lately. When I read Lizzy’s post at Considerings-Life’s Silver Linings, I realized I could do much better than I have been. I could start thinking more positively. So, 10 things I’m grateful for in spite of the C word;
1. The Sunrise on Sunday morning-I got up made my coffee, strolled over to my desk to open the blinds and lo and behold—what came to my wandering eyes? a Pink sky so pretty I had to sigh.
2. Coffee-Lattes, drip, Americano, whatever if it has caffeine in it, I’m grateful for it.
3. Love-the kind that puts up with me–the terrible, selfish, stubborn ME. Thank you.
4. My Beau-aw, sometimes he drives me crazy but then he’ll do these amazing things that show me how much he cares–no words–actions. See #3
5. The presence (not presents) of my kids. I have to love every minute because they are limited and far between with our geographical distance (see #3). My son and step son are here with me and my daughter arrives this afternoon!
6.The snow capped mountains–on a day when I can see them like I did on Sunday–they are astounding
7. YOU-my loyal readers
8. Turtles
9. Twinkly lights
10. Yoga–it keeps me strong, balanced and sane
11. Last but it should be first on my list—my HEALTH.
We’re celebrating Christmas tonight so I’m cooking a turkey today…gotta run.
Your turn. What are you grateful today? It can be tiny or grand…doesn’t matter.
Leave a comment, I LOVE ’em!

December 17, 2014 at 7:59 amI love snow-capped mountains and twinkly lights!
I love coffee too, but just for the taste. Even half a cup of regular can give me a bad reaction. So sad! Decaf for me.
lisa
December 17, 2014 at 12:21 pmAw, that sucks Tamara. I accidentally bought decaf one time and I returned it. I figure what’s the point if there’s no caffeine 🙂 Coffee smells so good in the morning, too. Some people like the smell but hate the taste.

December 16, 2014 at 12:50 pmHappy Turkey to you, Jane! You are an inspiration to me and to so many women who have gotten out of an abusive marriage. You deserve that love and you’ve got it now with your own strength. I got all philosophical there, pardon me 🙂
